This post was written and published before I became a slow fashion blog. I may have altered or deleted the original text to reflect my current shopping habits and attitude towards the fashion industry. Read more here.

Hello, hello, hello!

Mid-March, an act of God occurred and my parents to let me return to the UK for a short while. Sadly, my time here is up and in a matter of days, I am hopping back on a plane to Seattle. I can’t complain too much though – I mean, just think of all the SkyMiles I am going to earn.

For the benefit of my 2 readers and my nosey friends, I feel as though I owe a brief explanation for my lack of blogging. For many weeks, this blog has been the last thing on my mind because, well, in short: My life is a mess. I don’t ever want to share personal details here but all I want to say is it’s no big deal, it’s just that everything is very ‘up in the air’ at the moment.

Moving on, I spent the weekend in London with my sister. Despite having an insanely frustrating cold, I had a wonderful time. (Side note: I am very sick while writing so if any of this reads badly, I neglect responsibility.) I even managed to convince her to be my personal, unpaid photographer. Anastasia, if you’re reading this, I can’t promise you fame or fortune but I can drop your Instagram on my blog with the guarantee that at least one of my two readers will click on it: @starzibear.

I am really excited to share these photos with you all as they are the first set that I used Lightroom to edit. As far as editing Instagrams go, I have tried pretty much everything. I could talk endlessly about what apps I use etc. but I am going to stop myself because this post would never end.

Feel free to follow me on Instagram: @alexrees. Much like with this blog, I am not posting frequently but I update my story almost daily. You can also read every passing thought I have here: @alexreesblog. While we’re at it, why not follow me on BlogLovin’ too?!
